Iran Supreme Leader: “We are Regional Power”

Ayatollah Khamenei has declared that Iran has “turned into a regional power” so that even the opponents of the Islamic Republic “are acknowledging this fact.”
The Supreme Leader of Iran made these remarks in a meeting with the Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, and other Navy officials. “The great capability of the Army shows itself at times of need,” the Leader noted, adding, “The surprising bravery of the Air Force and Navy” was demonstrated at the beginning of the Iraqi imposed war against Iran (1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war). Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian Navy is gifted with spiritual power as well as technical and war capabilities. Now, despite all sanctions the “capable and young” naval forces have succeeded to manufacture the most sophisticated mechanical parts and repair them, the Leader noted.
